The Bowdon Bears Mixed Ability TAG rugby team are about to begin their fifth season at Clay Lane.
We started in September 2022 with a few players -all of whom are still part of the team – this has now grown into a squad of 25+ members with new people joining all the time.

We welcome all players from 10 years old and upwards of any ability. The sessions and whole ethos of the team is inclusivity, friendship and fun – but we also coach the players to develop their rugby skills, co-ordination, and fitness as part of a team.
The Bears have attended festivals all over the country, meeting royalty, and representing Bowdon Rugby Club in a very positive way. The club are very proud of the Bears.

From the very start the Bears have had support from Mike Billington and Hart Process Services – this has allowed us to keep the sessions free, buy new kit and travel to games and festivals in style.
