Chairman's Covid Udate & Moving Forward Under Lockdown
Dear Members
Given the Prime Ministers announcement on Sunday I thought it appropriate to up date our members with the latest news specific to the Club.
1. The Club House will remain closed until 4th July at the very earliest
2. We are hoping to conduct the AGM on 10th June 2020 assuming we can get the technology to work and you will have received notice from the Club Secretary this evening.
3. We have been successful in being awarded a Cheshire RFU grant of £5k and the RFU Loan of £10k.
4. We have also applied for the Council Hospitality Grant from Trafford and Bounce Back Loan from Santander Bank.
5. The Club Finance Committee continue to meet on Zoom every Wednesday evening and monitor the actual and forecast cash flow of the Club.
6. As a Club we are looking to bring back the membership card system for paying for drinks at membership prices. The idea is that you preload your card with credit and use it to at the bar to be entitled to membership discounted prices. This should also help cash flow as soon as we can re-open.
7. Work has started on the new website, which is being built on the GMS platform. I should be grateful for any ideas, content, design ideas etc…. for the new website.
8. Maintenance work on the pitches will start shortly, so that we will be ready for a September start to the season (fingers crossed)
9. Vicky Perrett is continuing to sell club stock please email vicky.perrett@bowdonrufc.com
10. The number of members joining the Mole Club continues to increase and we are very grateful for that.
11. We are also extremely grateful for all the members who continue to pay their subs each month, it is very much appreciated and has helped the cash flow tremendously.
12. As a Club we are also looking for some assistance in the following two areas:
a. Website content and design. McHale & Co have kindly allowed the Club to use the services of their IT chap to build the site.
b. Communication – we would love to create a Club Newsletter that is circulated once a month to members. We need someone with editorial and literary skills to pull this together.
c. We are looking for Club Sponsors for next season if you are interested please contact Andrew McHale on andrew.mchale@mchaleandco.co.uk
